Our story
It started in 1975 as Burton's, Mick's mum and dad's appliance shop in North Hobart. The old sign promised specials on fridges and washing machines – “also repairs, trade up, rentals, terms”.
Today Mick carries on the family trade as Second Cycle Appliances: the same hands-on, look-after-the-customer approach, with over 30 years' experience behind every appliance we sell.
Mick's mum and dad open Burton's in North Hobart – fridges, freezers, washers and colour TVs, plus repairs, trade-ups, rentals and terms.
The original shop closed its doors for a while.
Mick brings the family trade back under a new name – giving good appliances a second life.

Reconditioned appliances come with a 3-month warranty – some carry 6 months.
